BTV Mall Redevelopment Process

In October of 2019, the developers of CityPlace Burlington presented a redesigned version of their project to City Council. Since that time, they have worked with their architects and engineers to refine the design. Representatives from the developer’s technical team held two informational sessions on Thursday, January 30, to update the community and solicit on feedback on their new design. BTC Mall Associates, the owner/developer of CityPlace Burlington, will be holding another public meeting at 12:00pm on Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Contois Auditorium at City Hall to present and discuss the proposed 763,200 square foot mixed-use project located at 75 Cherry Street. This project proposes to bring 357 new rental housing units, inclusive of 72 affordable units; 45,000 square feet of retail space; a 196 room hotel;  and 550 parking spaces. In addition, the project will reintroduce and reconnect St. Paul and Pine Streets between Bank Street and Cherry Street. The presentation will include a discussion of the proposed permitting timeline for the project, and will be followed by an opportunity for questions and answers.
