Response to COVID-19
Effective November 23, 2020 the Clerk/Treasurer's Office will be suspending its in person office hours due to rising numbers of COVID-19. The majority of services can be provided by phone, mail, or email. Appointments are required for marriage licenses and title searches. For more information, please dial 802-865-7000 (option 1, option 0)
Hours of operation by phone: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ***Due to COVID-19 we will not be accepting calls between 12:30-1:30 each day***

We maintain a system of accounting that complies with applicable accounting standards and fully discloses the City's financial position. We coordinate the preparation of the Mayor's annual budget and conduct timely year-round budget control. We also provide administrative leadership, direction, and support to the Mayor, City Council, City departments, and the public. We continually seek to improve our services for all who use them--from the citizens of Burlington to the Board of Finance, City Councilors and the Mayor
