Firefighters work a unique 24/48 shift schedule, meaning 24 hours on and 48 hours off. In May of 2023, we began a six-month trial of a 48/96 shift schedule. This schedule will be voted on by the members after the trial. We will either return to the 24/48 or adopt the 48/96. Starting salary for an entry-level firefighter is $55,332.26 base pay with an additional 4% for Advanced EMT and 10% for Paramedic certifications.
