CEDO

Cohort 2 Graduates

Congrats to the new PCAs! We’re Proud of You!

On February 15, six students, excited and confident, graduated from a four-week highly intensive Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Plus workforce training, funded by the City of Burlington/Community and Economic Development (CEDO) and Vermont Department of Labor (VDoL). Designed by CEDO, this one-of-a kind PCA Plus program combines classroom instruction, lab skills, personal and professional development (PPD), and diversity and equity training. Working with VDoL – Career Resource Centers, CEDO provides assistance to graduates in their job search and placement. Free to eligible participants, the program targets Burlington’s low-income and BIPOC communities, including immigrants and refugees, and aims to train 20-25 persons over a nine-month period. The PCA Plus workforce training program is being implemented by Age Well, the leading experts and advocates for the aging population of Northwestern Vermont.
