Parking Services Moves to DPW, Opens to the Public on 10/13

Burlington, VT The Parking Services office located at the Burlington Police Department (BPD) at One North Avenue will be closed on Friday October 8th and reopen Wednesday October 13th at 645 Pine Street - where the rest of the Department of Public Works (DPW) parking operations are managed.

In November 2020, as part of the evaluation of the City’s police services, the BPD Parking Enforcement group was officially restructured to become part of DPW.  Over the past year DPW and the BPD have worked closely to migrate operations and reorganize this group as Parking Services – fully operating as part of DPW.

“This move is a tangible expression of the City’s commitment to a customer-focused, one-stop-shop for Parking Services,” said Division Director of Parking and Traffic for DPW, Jeff Padgett. “We are excited to welcome the public to this new space on Wednesday October 13th for streamlined, responsive customer service for all things parking.”

At the new Parking Services office at 645 Pine Street the public can work with Parking Services staff to:

  • Purchase Residential Parking Permits
  • Purchase Contractor Permits for Residential Parking
  • Purchase Monthly Garage Parking
  • Purchase Garage Parking Validations
  • Purchase for Monthly Lot Parking
  • Pay Parking Tickets
  • Discover other parking options in Burlington!

The public is encouraged to call 802-540-2380, email the Parking Services Manager: Leonard Ducharme at lducharme@burlingtonvt.gov or visit www.burlingtonvt.gov/parking to learn more about the services that DPW Parking Services has to offer.
