Mayor Miro Weinberger Statement Regarding Vermont’s Award of a $36.9 Million Early Education Grant
“There is no more important issue for our future than investing in early childhood education. I offer congratulations to Governor Shumlin and all the children and families in Vermont who will benefit from this significant grant award. I thank the governor for his leadership on this critical issue and our federal congressional delegation for once again supporting Vermont’s children in such an impactful way. Burlington was an enthusiastic supporter of this grant application, and we look forward to working with the Shumlin Administration to ensure that this wonderful award moves us closer to the day when all Vermont’s children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.”
