Change of Location for Ward 1 Polling Place to Taft School for State Primary Election
Burlington, VT – The location of the Ward 1 polling place for the State Primary Election has been changed to the Taft School, located at 14 South Williams Street, near the corner of Pearl and South Williams Streets. The election will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, and voting hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The change was necessary due to the unavailability of the Mater Christi School gymnasium on that date.
In an effort to widely publicize this change, the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office mailed change of polling place postcards to Ward 1 residents on August 5, 2014. This change also was posted to the City website. The polling place location change is for the State Primary Election only. The Ward 1 polling place location for the General State Election to be held on November 4, 2014 will be Mater Christi School.
