Today’s briefing includes an announcement that the outbreak in Winooski and Burlington that began in early June is now formally closed. This is thanks to the work of the Department of Health, cities of Burlington and Winooski, critical partners including USCRI-VT and AALV-VT, and above all, commitment of the people of Burlington and Winooski who took action to get tested, quarantine, isolate, wear masks, and support their neighbors. Thank you. This briefing discusses this outbreak in more detail, including the strategies used to successfully contain it and lessons learned for the future.
