Holiday Schedule

With Bennington Battle Day (8/17) coming up, we want to let you know about temporary changes to service and how to report issues while we're away from the office. The following updates apply to Monday August 17th, 2020:

  • Recycling will be picked up for regular Monday customers
  • All DPW buildings and customer service will be closed on Monday. We are open at 645 Pine St to customers Tuesday - Friday, 7AM-3PM. We will begin in-person service at 645 Pine St five days a week (Monday-Friday) from 7AM-3PM on 8/24.
  • Parking is free at on street meters and in city-owned garages from midnight to midnight. Gates are down but you won't be charged upon exit. Garage ambassadors will be on-site and accessible via the 'help' button on the kiosks.
  • Some construction sites will be active. We thank you for your patience and for traveling safely during a big summer of rebuilding core infrastructure.

So, what do you do if you need to reach us while we're away?

  • For urgent water questions, please call our Water Resources team (24/7) 802-863-4501.
  • For urgent street or sidewalk issues, please call our answering service at 802-864-7428 and someone may be dispatched.
  • For non-urgent matters, feel free to submit them at https://www.burlingtonvt.gov/DPW/SCF or by emailing dpw-pinecustomerservice@burlingtonvt.gov. We reopen at 7AM on Tuesday.
