Ventilation Grant Program Application

The City of Burlington is launching a High-Efficiency Particle Air (HEPA) filter grant program to assist Burlington-based commercial businesses and nonprofits with treating indoor air quality for public spaces  where        members of more than one household may come into contact. If you haven't already, please review all eligibility criteria and conditions on our Grant Information Page before completing this application. By signing this application the applicant agrees to comply with all conditions of this program. Applicant further agrees to the following conditions:

 

  • Applicant accepts responsibility for complying with the terms and conditions of this grant and will exercise full control over the expenditure of funds.   
  • Applicant agrees that in connection with this grant the Applicant and all agents, employees, and contractors of the Applicant shall be acting as independent contractors and not as agents or employees of the City. 
  • Applicant shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the City of Burlington and their respective officers, employees and agents of any kind from any and all liability, claims, suits, judgments, and damages arising directly or indirectly in connection with or as a result of the grant by the Applicant or any agents, employees or contractors thereof.
  • The provisions of this grant shall be binding upon the heirs, successors and assigns of the Applicant.
  • HEPA filters may be withheld in whole or in part in the event of failure by the Applicant to comply with the terms of this grant.
  • No changes, modifications or amendments in the terms and conditions of this grant shall be effective unless reduced to writing and signed by duly authorized agents the City and the Applicant.
  • Any and all records submitted to the City, whether electronic, paper, or otherwise recorded, are subject to the Vermont Public Records Act. The determination of how those records must be handled is solely within the purview of City.
  • Applicants are advised that public health emergencies, as declared by the City, State, or Federal Government, including the current pandemic of Novel Coronavirus (COVID–19), may introduce significant uncertainty into the program including disruption of timelines or revised practices. The City will not be responsible for any delays related to the sequence of operations or any expenses or losses as a result of any delays. 
  • The City assumes no responsibility or liability for the response to this request.
