Mayor Miro Weinberger Statement on Resignation of Burlington School District Superintendent
“I commend the Burlington School Board and Superintendent Collins for reaching an agreement that will allow the School District to move forward. Over the years, Superintendent Collins has been dedicated to the students of Burlington’s schools. She has made contributions that will continue to help Burlington children for years to come. Since taking office, the new School Board has shown the resolve necessary to restore confidence in the District. This agreement is a reflection of the Board's commitment. My Administration remains ready to provide financial management assistance if the Board determines that to be the best path through the many challenges ahead.”
