Starting 11/29 - Main Street utility work

PROJECT NOTICE: On Monday 11/29, a contractor will begin the first phase of subsurface utility investigations along Main Street in preparation for future Capital improvement work. The contractor will need access to manholes to inspect underground infrastructure, which will require parking trucks and equipment throughout the project area. Crews will be on site from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day from November 29th through December 3rd. During this time, motorists should expect to encounter slower traffic flow with some parking impacts between Battery Street and South Union Street. Motorists should expect delays, and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

DETAILS & IMPACTS: Traffic flow and temporary traffic patterns will vary by location, but will generally include travel lane shifts, flagger-controlled one-way alternating traffic, and work within intersections which may be controlled by uniformed officers. Operations will move from west to east throughout the course of each day. Approximately 4 spaces each will be occupied approximate to 40, 101 and 175 Main Street (12 total).
