DPW Operations - Water Plant

During this challenging time, Burlington Water Resources is committed to providing our community with customer care and billing support, along with essential drinking water and wastewater services.  However, we have modified our day to day operations as a precaution to keep you, and our staff, safe and healthy.  Please review the current list of changes and the best ways to get in touch with us now.

Recent Changes

  • All Water & Wastewater facilities are closed to customers and other visitors.
  • We have suspended all non-emergency site visits for meter repairs and troubleshooting.

Ratepayer Relief & Assistance

  • We have suspended service terminations for non-payment of delinquent water bills.
  • We have suspended the 1% monthly interest assessment on all delinquent balances.
  • We have suspended the $33 fee assessed on all returned payments.
  • We have almost completed a change with our credit card provider that will eliminate the convenience fee charged on all credit card and echeck payments.
  • We have suspended the 50% deposit requirement for service line renewals on streets where capital main rehabilitation work* is scheduled to take place.
  • We have extended the terms of written payment arrangements for outstanding balances from 12 months to 24 months.

*The status of previously announced capital water & sewer main rehabilitation work for this calendar year is being evaluated.  We will be reviewing each project to determine what efforts can still safely proceed in light of the COVID-19 emergency.
