Colchester/Riverside/Barrett/Mill Intersection Scoping

Colchester Avenue / Riverside Avenue

The 2011 Colchester Avenue Corridor Study conceptualized improvements to the intersection of Colchester Avenue, Riverside Avenue, Barrett Street, and Mill Street. The initial concept is being evaluated, defined, and compared to other alternatives to help the City and the Burlington community identify the final, feasible concept - or concepts - for near-term improvements and long-term reconstruction.

This intersection is the #3 High Crash location in Vermont and this scoping study will define the ways to improve safety, efficiency, and multi-modal access to and through the intersection. The study is being led by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission with guidance from the Advisory Committee, which includes the City of Burlington, the City of Winooski, CCTA, CATMA, AARP, Local Motion, and Redstone (Chase Mill).
