Yes, all permits have required fees. These fees are typically for the processing of the permit and are due at application time. Other fees such as Development Review fees, Impact fees and fees to request the Final Unified Certificate of Occupancy are all due after the permit has been approved. FEE EXAMPLE
A project involves constructing a new $1500 deck. Assuming all work and payments were done in a timely fashion, the fees would be as follows:
- $80 Zoning Permit Application Fee
- $30-40 Construction Permit Fee (any project up to $2858 construction cost)
- $38 Final Unified Certificate of Occupancy Fee
TOTAL for this project would be $148-158 in fees.
