Walk & Bike in Burlington
Residents and visitors of Burlington enjoy bicycling and walking for shopping, commuting, recreation and general transportation. From the installation of the first shared use path along the waterfront in 1986 to the ongoing installation of bicycle facilities & sidewalks, the City of Burlington continues to support bicycling and walking as viable, healthy, and non-polluting modes of transportation.

Public Transportation

Burlington is the central focus of the Chittenden County Transportation Authority, providing bus service to and from the surrounding communities (and the shopping districts of South Burlington and Williston).

The Lake Champlain Transportation Company provides seasonal ferry service provided between Burlington's King Street ferry terminal and Port Kent, New York.

Air carriers at Burlington International Airport provide the area with commercial service to major regional hubs and international airports. While scheduled carriers do not offer scheduled commercial flights to destinations outside the United States, there is a Customs Port of Entry for unscheduled flights
