About Inspection Services
The goal of DPW Inspection Services is to provide consultation and technical advice using the nationally recognized construction safety codes and standards. We strive to provide a smooth process and healthy/safe living conditions for the community.
All construction projects (including but not limited to alterations, repairs, replacements, new construction, etc., including all associated with single family homes in the City of Burlington) will require application and direction of the following codes listed below, which are also the minimum codes and standards adopted by the State of Vermont. Relevant projects include but are not limited to: new buildings, additions, alterations, repairs, demolitions, converting space, changes involving sprinkler systems, fire alarms, fire suppression, plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems, etc. Please be aware of all the permit processing, procedures, and permit requirements, by all City departments, associated with each project.
