The Burlington Board of Tax Appeals (BTA) is a seven member quasi-judicial board which hears appeals of Assessors’ grievance hearing decisions. Members are volunteers trying to insure that all taxable property is appraised at its equalized fair market value. Members of the BTA are appointed by the City Council, mayor presiding.
