Property taxes are divided into quarterly payments. Payments are due on the 12th of August, November, March, and June each year.

Property taxes can be paid in person at the Clerk/Treasurer's Offoce, by mail, or through automatic tax payments. The Clerk/Treasurer's Office accepts Cash, Check, or Money Order only. Credit Cards are not accepted. Checks should be made payable to the City of Burlington. Payments can be mailed to:

When the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, payments will be accepted without penalty until the next business day.

No, the Clerk/Treasuer's Office accepts Cash, Check, or Money Order only. You may sign up for automatic tax payment to have your quarterly payment withdrawn from your bank account automatically.

Tax bills are mailed each year in July.

No, but envelopes postmarked on or before the due date will be accepted without penalty.

You have the right to appeal the penalty to the Board of Abatement of Taxes. However, interest will continue to be added to any delinquent taxes.
