CDBG funds are awarded once each year in May, with funds generally available for spending on July 1. Funding must benefit Burlington residents.
The City of Burlington is soliciting applications from community organizations and city departments for funding through its Community Development Block Grant program. Funding will be targeted to the priorities identified in the City’s 2008 Consolidated Plan for Housing & Community Development, available online at www.burlingtonvt.gov/cedo. Non-CEDO initiated project proposals will be reviewed and scored competitively in this process.

Application packets for funding may be requested from the Community and Economic Development Office (CEDO) at cedofd@burlingtonvt.gov. The deadline for submission of applications is Monday, January 14, 2013 at 4 p.m.
Funding is expected to be available on July 1, 2013; however, at this time it is uncertain how much CDBG funding will be available.
Two informational workshops for applicants are scheduled: one from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12 and one from noon to 1:00 on Thursday, December 13. For further information, please contact Marcy Krumbine at mkrumbine@burlingtonvt.gov.
