The City Attorney's Office serves as in-house counsel to the City of Burlington as a municipal corporation. The office provides legal advice and representation to the City and its officials in numerous areas of law. Members of the legal staff also regularly attend and provide advice at meetings of the City Council and its sub-committees and to City boards and commissions. The staff consists of 5 full-time attorneys, a paralegal and an executive secretary.
